The Behling Human Simulation Center and the Margaret W. Wendt Foundation Clinical Competency Center are immersive simulaton centers located in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
The Clinical Competency Center consists of 18 general physician's exam rooms with AV capability in each room to record learner interactions with standardized patients and tie the recordings together with evaluations.
The Behling Simulation Center consists of 8 large simulations rooms that can fill the role of a PACU, ICU, or Emergency Medicine Bay. Each of the 8 rooms are also outfitted with cameras and microphones to record learner interaction with either standardized patients or simulators for evaluation or debriefing.
There are three specialized simulation rooms representing the operating room, the pharmacy, and a home healthcare setting (assisted living or nursing home facility).
There are 9 debrief rooms shared between the two centers that each have network support for lecture components and the capability to view the recordings from each simulation room. Please feel free to reach out to contact our staff for a tour or overview of what we can accomodate for your event.
