Overview of Services

The Pathology and Anatomical Sciences Research Service Center is part of the Health Sciences Collaborative Core Facilities (HSCCF) which provide multipurpose services to the biomedical research community at the University at Buffalo. These services include access to state-of-art instrumentation, sample processing services and data analysis.

These centers are your source for solutions to a wide variety of research problems by leveraging the knowledge and experience of PhD-level lab managers, administrators and directors.

Histology and EM sample preparation services
- Full-service specimen fixation, paraffin embedding, sectioning and staining with a wide range of Histological dyes
- Full-service frozen and PPFE sections for immuno-staining
- Full-service specimen preparation for electron microscopy including ultrathin resin embedded and cryo-ultrathin sectioning and staining
- Leica plunge freezer specimen preparation with Gatan cryo-transfer station to Hitachi HT7800 cryo-stage
- Conjugation service for labeling heavy metals to antibodies for use in the Hyperion XTi Imaging Mass Cytometer and CyTOF XT
